    Hi All a few questions

    Hi All,

I play tibsie ( Troub 74) And schatz ( pally 57) and have been looking around for a new guild as the guild I was with though very well organised and great people was mainly american and guild events/raids were seldom if ever at a time I could play. Sadly ( well not so sadly really) my son is only 5 weeks old and his mother and I have little free time to do a lot else. Hopefully this will improve as he gets older. so what im really looking for is a guild with scheduled instance runs/ raids in my time zone and which allows me to be fairly casual, ie if i sign up  nand get accepted I play but no hard and fast rules on  how often I must raid etc.

If this sounds like it suits southern armada Id be interested:)

Re: Hi All a few questions

Hi Tibsie, Thanks for your interest in SA :)

Lisani will probably post shortly with some more details about us. Id just like to give you some feedback to your questions about grouping and raiding within SA. The guild is very interested in both of those as with tradeskilling and doing solo exploring, quests etc.

The way groups tend to form is adhoc and revolves around there being people with the interest to make them happen and the classes online to balance the group. This could happen at anytime, but is not uncommon to get going after dinner for most or during the day on weekends. It's not unusual for us to have several groups running doing different content in an evening. As for scheduling of group activities, whilst this might work for some people (and would be encouraged if it did suit a specific group of people) it is not necessarily the norm of how things get started in SA, though there are a couple of established groups that do work on this basis and are self organised.

Regarding raiding we historically have raided twice a week prior to recently rolling here on Najena in EQ2 and we are building back to this at the moment. Involvement is not compulsory, though we do like to maintain some level of consistancy among the people who do like to be involved just due to the nature of the challenges. Official raids are joined on a signup basis for each raid with the post for signup going up a few days before each raid.

I hope this helps with some of your questions.

Please feel free to chat with more of us and find out more if you would like :)

    Kind Regards,
    Zel.

Re: Hi All a few questions

    G'day Tibsie,

Thanks for posting your interest in SA.  If you haven't done so already, have a read over the following recruitment posts in this forum to get an idea of what SA is all about, what we are looking for, and the process for getting guilded with SA.

    http://southernarmada.org/forums/thread/34416.aspx

    http://southernarmada.org/forums/thread/34384.aspx

Then it's probably best to try and catch up with people online and try and chat / group etc to find out more about SA from our members.  If you like what you see / hear, then ultimately, you'll need to have a chat with our guild leader Zelin to progress from there.

I see Zel has replied to your post, so hopefully that answers some of your questions.  The posts I linked above may also help there too.  Otherwise, feel free to catch any SA members online if you have any further questions, or post here if you are stuck at work in the meantime.

Hopefully at about 3months your boy will start to sleep through the night (10 - 12hrs), plenty of time for gaming and stuff then :)
In the mean time just sit him on your knee, i know i did with mine :)

    Tibsie,

Do not seem to have heard from you for quite some time.  Please make contact with SA members if you are still interested in our guild.  Will leave this thread open until end of the month, but if no further progress by then, will be deleting this thread.
