    Looking for home (70 lock)

Hi, I read your post in the Cael forums which struck me as being mature and focused on the community aspect of the game. I'm 27 and have been playing WoW on and off for a few years, mostly off lately. Don't particularly care about endgame or raiding at this point, just looking for some good folks to play with. I'm pretty new on Cael (transferred from Gorgonnash after I quit for a year) so I don't really have too many friends :( My character on Cael is a 70 warlock: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Caelestrasz&n=Lestor Pre TBC I made it through all the content up to raz in Naxxaramus on my warlock and a priest on Jubei'Thos. I've spent most of TBC not playing, but here and there I have done the basic end game stuff like Kaz, Gruul/Mag, doomwalker/kazzak, some SSC and TK:eye, etc. Nothing really exciting, and as I said before, I'm not too worried about it :) That's about it really, let me know what you think. Do you have a ventrilo server or something on which you congregate? That is usually a good way to get to know who you're playing with.

Hey mate, I am sure Shin will be along soonish for the leader view, but in the meantime

that probably puts you ahead of a number of us!  we didn't play TBC for sometime and only recently have returned in any structured way.

Hyperthetical question.  The only level 70's on are 2 Hunters, a Shaman, and a Warlock.   Would you asttempt Shattered Halls?  :-)

For voice comms we are mostly using the internal voice system sometimes, though we used to use Teamspeak for raiding.

    Hi there

Have a chat to either myself or Hiiru, or in fact anyone in the guild.  You'll usually find a few people online every night.  We've got a few regular things going on most nights.  Most of us are leveling up low level characters, so there's a group in the late 20's, plus another in the late 40's.  These groups are having another look at the orginal content, a lot of which was missed first time around.  It's been good fun so far.

A bunch of us also have level 70 characters, and we're taking a look at TBC instances, but we've not quite got the right class balance yet.  Still, it's interesting going in anyway.  Neccesity is the mother of all invention.

    Come and say hello

It's been a while since I've done shattered halls, but from memory, those legionairre(?) guys hit pretty hard, so you'd probably need either a bear tank or a warrior. Not sure a shaman tank would cut it :) Assuming you could find a bear/warrior,  If the shaman has any kind of healing spec or gear, with a hunter and a warlock you should be fine. Part of the difficulty is not wiping on the pulls with lots of mobs (6 or more from memory). If you wipe, all of the mobs respawn, so you can't grind them down with suicidal attrition. With the hunters traps and warlock fear/aoe fear, you can usually keep them busy enough to take 'em down one at a time without wiping.

In any case, I'd be willing to try a weird group composition, because hey, it's fun doing stuff like that :)

I could maybe roll an alt and get it up to 20 pretty quick smart ! Also I'm not averse to helping people at lower levels get quests done, etc.

I've attempted things with some pretty bizarre group compositions before. I remember killing Araj the summoner at level 60 with two other warlocks (3 infernals for the win). I would not be too concerned if we couldn't make a proper 5 man group yet.

Thanks for your responses, I will be in contact in-game.

    Heya Lestor,

Spoke with you last night and think yourself and the guild have a fairly compatible outlook on what the game is all about. Talk with any of the guys above to get a feel for the guild (they're both longstanding members, and I believe just finished shattered halls with a hunter pet tanking?) and myself for a guild invite. If you want an alt guilded that's fine as well.

I am impressed if you guys got all the way through with a hunter pet tanking ! Well done. I take it you weren't in heroic mode :)
